Christmas Markets!

Merano and Bolzano beautiful little towns with HUGE Christmas markets!

It was a 4 hour bus ride from Florence which ended up becoming a 5 hour bus ride because of traffic! But we drove through the alps and even the Dolomites mountains (not sure if I spelt that right) Yesterday they actually pushed up our departure time by an hour because they were annticipating traffic on the holiday weekend! So we left at 6 am and arrived at 11:30 in Merano! We only got to spend an hour and 15 minutes there since we were behind schedule by an hour but honestly it wasn’t very rushed! We managed to get through all 80 markets and grab a bite to eat! Then we headed to Bolzano for our second and final stop of the day! It was a big market that filled an entire square! Surprising I didn’t spend much money at all! I got 1 ornament and some mulled wine to stay warm and of course a little something to snack on!

But it was a day full of Christmas! Then on the bus ride home we encountered 3 car accidents so again we had a long ride home! So we watched the Lizzie McGuire movie, Friends with Benefits, and Bridesmaids to make the time go by a little faster! It was a fun day!
