Well I realized I missed out on a lot of my day in yesterday’s post! I went to class at the Pitti Palace and had a quick run through some famous art works there! I had about an hour to burn so wig my ticket from climbing the Duomo, I had 48 hours to use it at a few other museums, so I went into the baptistery which has been getting some work done to it but I was shocked by the tile work on the floors and the Golden interior of the dome! Then headed off to meet my friend Jen for coffee because I needed to know everything I had to see during my time in Greece, and I ask her a million questions a day so we needed time to just catch up! Then I was in Studio for 4 hours then had our Curry night! This morning we were up bright and early (5:15 am) to head off to the airport! To say the least Anna and I are pretty exhausted considering Tuesday we were up at 3 am and never really had time to catch up on our sleep since! So today it definitely caught up with me. We landed in Athens around 12 and made it to our hostel by 1:30 we decided to just walk the streets and explore eventually stopping somewhere to get food and to hunt for our mandatory souvenirs! I found lovely watercolors very early in our journey, and just couldn’t pass them up, but the ornament was a completely different story! There were some very thin ceramic balls that had the Parthenon on them but they weren’t very detailed or anything exciting so after searching I finally got one that is like Greece’s lucky symbol! We walked through the popular flea markets and Plaka, which are just very touristy locations but filled with souvenirs!

We had a delicious gyro to fill our bellies and then we went back to the hotel to work on some homework since tomorrow will be a busy day with our walking tour and visiting all of our ruins!
