Happy Thanksgiving!

Well the only plus side I can find to Italy not celebrating Thanksgiving is that it made it more acceptable for me to play Christmas music early! But since we are still an American university overseas we get to have a thanksgiving break AND yesterday the school provided us with a thanksgiving dinner!

We went to a BEAUTIFUL palace for our meal! I think at least 85% of the Kent students were there. Eight of us sat at a table and patiently waiting to be served! First we had two types of pasta to start off the night, pumpkin gnocchi and a primavera pasta! The gnocchi was my dish of the night, it was soooooo tasty and the pumpkin made it actually feel like thanksgiving! Before the main course was served, two of the servers came into the center of the room carrying a huge platter with a turkey with sparklers on either end! Everyone started cheering and clapping and the waiters just continued to walk this platter around the room so everyone could get pictures! That course was turkey, green beans, potatoes, and stuffing! Then for dessert we got apple pie with ice-cream! It was a great meal and a fun way to celebrate the holiday a little early!

Tomorrow morning we are off to Paris for 3 and a half days then Saturday we are off to London for about 3 days! Then the following weekend is our last weekend trip to Athens on Friday-Sunday and EARLY on Sunday we go to Santorini for 24 hours! Then the following weekend we on Saturday we are taking a day trip to Merano and Bolzano to visit the Italian Christmas Markets! Its crazy thinking the semester is coming to an end! I only have 4 weekends left here! One of which I leave on that Sunday to return to the US.

Well time for bed because I have to be up at 5:15 am
