Well this weekend isn't going as planned! Originally we were suppose to be leaving tonight to be heading to Prague, but the trip we signed up for got cancelled because not enough people signed up. So we decided we were going to stay in Italy for the weekend and relax, especially since this is the only weekend we will be staying in Florence for the rest of the semester.
We decided to sign up for a Spa and Wine tour in Tuscany for Friday. And on Saturday we are going to Perugia for the chocolate festival! THEN yesterday we got a message saying that our spa and Wine tour was cancelled because once again not enough people signed up, BUT we did get the alternative option to go on a wine tour in Chianti. So this afternoon I get to spend my time wine tasting. Ill take a bus through the countryside where I will see endless vineyards and then get to enjoy some free time in the heart of Tuscany and explore the Chianti wine shops and artisan boutiques. And we finish the afternoon at the winery for a wine and food tasting. Its a perfect and cheap way to spend an afternoon.
Then on Saturday we leave bright and early to go to Perugia. This chocolate festival is only for 2 weeks, and lucky for us this week just happened to be when our trip didn't work out and we get to go! We get to go on a chocolate tasting, and have a guide throughout the shops, then we get free time to explore the shops.
Last night we got to go to our cinemas teachers house for a jewelry making class! She also made us dinner, not gunna lie I was very excited, but I was most excited to spend the night with our professor. She is literally awesome and so funny. She made us pesto pasta, and apparently in Italy its a thing to put green beans and potatoes in Pesto pasta. It was pretty good! But I managed to make two pairs of earrings, two bracelets, and a necklace. All of her supplies was pretty cool. She purchases real stones and then takes apart items to use their gems. She had taken apart chandeliers, tassels off of chair, buttons, and patches, and she transforms them into jewelry. I ended up purchasing two pairs of earrings she had made! Her stuff is sold in two stores in Florence and she also sets up at fairs, last event she said she made 350 euros! To say the least she makes really cool things!

Well gotta go! Have to go get ready for wine tasting.
