Night at the Gala

Anna and I love Mexican... we crave it 24/7. So we went to dinner the other day at a place called Los Chicos. It was the smaller Italian version of Chipotle! I ordered a chicken bowl, and got all the toppings on it! It was pretty dang good! Something I thought was funny was that it did have some marinara sauce mixed in there as well!

So today was an exciting day because our Cinema class was attending a Gala for the 30th anniversary of the movie "Room with a View". Our professor was excited about it because she told us the director and some actors will be there! Little did I know the lead actress who was there was a characterWent to the 30th anniversary of James Ivory's A Room with a View for my cinema class tonight. The director and some of the actors where there including the actress who plays Bellatrx Lestrange in the Harry Potter movies! So that was pretty cool that we were at this event with some pretty famous people! But I didn't come prepared with a dress nice enough for a gala so we had to go shopping. Yesterday Anna and I went to 5 stores searching for a cheap but cute dress that we could wear again! We spent three hours shopping and when we were ready to just give up we decided to make one lasts stop at this small boutique on our street! And let me tell you this place did some damage to the bank account! Everything was like a soft cashmere sweater. So after trying on like 20 items because I literally liked everything in the store I bought a dress (most important) and two tops because I just couldn't resist them! It was interesting that a lot of these stores we shopped in was One Size! So anything you liked you could try on since size didn't matter! So ALEX is our new favorite store and I'm sure by the end of our trip we will be their favorite customer considering we live on the same street!

After we got back from shopping I noticed the ring I had just bought in Poland was gone. Even though it wasn't to expensive it was an amber ring and i was determined to find it! I went running back to all the stores where I physically tried on clothes because that's the only way I could think it would fall off! Of course I was very defeated because I had no luck, but I walked into our very first store of the day where sitting right inside the rings for sale case was my ring! I told the guy I had lost it and he handed it right back to me! I was a little shocked it was being re-sold but hey it is one cute ring!! But all that matters is that i found it!
