Christmas Shopping

We were warned that Italy is currently have some problems with mosquitos.... and I have proven that to be true. In the last 24 hours I have gotten bit about 12 times. But what makes it worse is that since we don't have A/C we sleep with the windows open, which don't have screens so we leave the shutters closed, but that definitely doesn't prevent this evil little critters from entering.

So once again last night I slept terrible, I spent most of the day yesterday researching weekend trips and travel costs and I think I got into bed having to much on my mind, so today we took it easy again just looking at flights..... until we decided to do some damage to our pocket books.... we went to the leather shops. I bought a leather backpack, an adorable cardigan, and all my Christmas presents... so within 45 minutes I cut myself off for the rest of the week! One thing i hate about shopping in Italy is you are never shopping in peace, the sellers are constantly talking to you, you you look at something as you walk by they start babbling away, But try to walking around carrying bags of purchases, then they all start calling for you. So after my final christmas purchase, I went running home to safety.
We got dinner at this restaurant right outside of our apartment that is always crowded. The best part is we got FREE prosecco AND limoncello! My meal was great it was Pici with chunky tomato sauce. Pici is like very thick spaghetti, so it was very filling, which I was so thankful for, because I think portions are smaller here so I often leave still hungry. We concluded our night by watching the sunset over the Argo river, definitely something I will do again. Just another site that won't get old.
