Fall Cleaning

I had NO sleep last night. I finally fell asleep around midnight for about 45 minutes, but i wake up restless after about an hour every night just tossing and turning trying to get comfortable. I finally fell into a good sleep around 6 am, but I had to be at orientation at 8:15 so that wasn't great. So for school we went to the post office. Then a phone company came in and gave us assistance on setting up a phone plan. So I bought a SIM card that gives me an italian number and access to the service here and text family back home, but when I'm making a phone call I have an American Number through their app, so I can call home without getting charged and home can contact me without getting charged. Its pretty cool, but still takes a lot for me to understand.

So my italian number (for text messages) is: (+39) 371 1636024

And to call me use the number: (215) 240-8767

So after we had everything taken care of we came back and napped for an hour before we cleaned the apartment! The apartment is beautiful, but we are pretty sure little to no prep was taken before we arrived. So for the second time since we arrived I mopped the floors. Our first day after walking around the apartment i realized our feet were black, so the following day I mopped the apartment. It definitely was an improvement, but it was still kinda gross. So today I swept the floors and mopped everything once again, and its SOOOO much better. Then Rachel cleaned the everyday dishes in the kitchen: Cups, silverware, plates, bowls, and some cooking utensils. Then we got the italian version of clorox wipes and wiped down the table and chairs, countertops, handles, and much more. ALL while Anna was napping.

It was nice to have a relaxing afternoon because time change is hitting me hard, which I have been surprised about because when I was here for only a week, I adjusted very quickly.

Well after cleaning we went to Piazza Del Mercato for dinner. Thats the giant super market behind our house the entire ground level is shopping but the upper level is like a giant food court. And we were told the pizza place there is the best pizza in Florence... and it was definitely true! It was delicious, the kind I got was called Capri... It was like the ultimate tomato mozzarella pizza. Then when you find a table to sit men walk around and get you drinks from the GIANT bar the consumes the middle of the space. We each order a Long Island and they were just as yummy as our pizza. THEN when walking out of the market we passed a stand with Arancini... which are fried rice balls and some have different kinds of protein in it. I was excited because I had one in Rome a year and a half ago and loved it so I was excited to find some more! But at this stand they also had 3 euro cannoli's. So we just couldn't pass them up. They were also DELICIOUS.

Our night is now coming to an end, I painted my nails and we are all sitting watching Mr. and Mrs. Smith!

Another day of orientation tomorrow and currently praying for a good night sleep!
